Mourinho reveals team he rejected twice

Jose Mourinho has claimed he turned down the head coach role in the Portugal national team twice.
According to him, the first time was when he was in charge of Real Madrid.
Mourinho claimed that Real president, Florentino Perez, blocked his exit at the time.

The second time Mourinho snubbed his country, he was manager at Roma.
He told Fabrizio Romano: “I had the door open to be Portugal coach twice.
“First time when I was at Real Madrid but Florentino told me: no chance.
“The second time was at Roma, I was sacked a few months later. But I don’t regret that because I’m happy with the reason.”
